Project Title : INTELLIGENT TRAFFIC SYSTEM

Language of Implementation: Embedded C

Tools used: : IR sensor, PIC 16F877 Microcontroller, PWM Transmitter and

Receiver, RF transmitter and receiver

Project Description:

The project involves a density based traffic system. The working includes microcontroller that receives input from IR sensors and accordingly manipulates the time required for each lane. This output is provided to the LED displays to display the traffic light. The output of this whole system is displayed in a computer by connecting it to the microcontroller through RS232 interface. The additional provision of the system is that it can provide facility for emergency vehicle and also detect the theft vehicle. The PWM receiver is used to detect the entry of theft vehicle in a particular lane so that information can be provided about stolen vehicle. The RF receiver is used to receive signal from emergency vehicle so that traffic can be cleared in that lane.
