Developed a Visual Basic application to track differences within Sybase SQL tables containing mortgage application information. Programs produced Crystal reports that identified errors and data was reconciled. In one month successfully completed 30 system enhancements and 10 required process changes for Loan Tracker, a Visual Basic mortgage application, after a two year halt of the project.

Contractor for 10 years at Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, MI serving on two system teams overseeing five mainframe applications: National Employee Service Center (NESC) ( health care), Workforce Profile (WP)(human resource), General Employee Number (GEN) (joint FORD/UAW employee tracking) and Education Management System (EMS) (training), PRISM (data warehouse) . NESC, WP, GEN and EMS consisted of batch and online COBOL/DB2/IMS/FOCUS programs; PRISM databases were accessed by FOCUS batch and online programs used to produce customer requested reports/files.

Accomplishments include:

• Served as the NESC subject matter expert on Health Update to Dependent Database web system (HUDD) project. Role called for analyzing system, developing COBOL/DB2/IMS specifications and conducting code reviews.

• Served as lead of NESC Systems team; assisted other team members, provided specifications, advised supervisor(s) on assignments, conducted training courses and composed related documentation on new features and applications when required, scheduled job using CA-7 responsible for system security.

• Reworked GEN monthly reporting process, breaking up a 20 step JCL job into three smaller, logical jobs, adding a FOCUS program to determine job parameters in place of manual calculation and updating COBOL programs to forward file status data to JCL jobs. Enhancements eliminated parameter errors, job reruns and programmer intervention.

• Developed MS Access joint UAW/FORD NESC Employee Training application which listed course information, tracked enrollment and produced reports used to evaluate employees.

• Developed MS Access Project List System used by management to track the status and progress of team projects.

• Completed Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) analysis of NESC and resolved violations.

• Decommissioned EMS COBOL/JCL, DB2 tables and data files
