Working with children who have special needs is an extremely challenging task. As an instructional aide, I used Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy to help children come one step closer to living a more independent life. Positive reinforcement was the main motive to drive children towards an anticipated goal. Tasks ranged self help skills such as removing shoes to more complex task such as improving fine motor skills and speech.
