PROJECT EXPERIENCE
• Database project on mobile phone billing system:
Software stored the call details of customers and generated the bill for postpaid scheme and deducted the amount for prepaid schemes. Acted as a team lead and gained experience solving problems and learning various database concepts like conceptual and physical database design along with Oracle 9i and Visual Basic.
• Software Development Project for a Bank using .NET framework:
It was 3-tier architectural project on .NET framework 3.5 with SQL Server 2005 as database to store details of products such as credit card, mortgages, money market, access rights and certification of deposit as well as information of users. Data access layer and business logic layer was coded in C#. Communication with database was done using ADO.NET. Implemented Master page for maintaining consistency throughout the site, Web Services, Ajax for partial page updates, SSRS for report generation, User Controls and Sitemap Navigation.
• Final Year Undergraduate Software Development Project – Using Face as a Mouse:
This successful group project was dedicated to people without hands or neck down paralyzed. This program allowed them to click by blinking their eyes using a webcam. Concepts such as SSR filter and Support Vector Machines were learned. It was a complex project with lots of research, analysis and designing required. The project was a full fledged Software Development Life Cycle and implementation was done using Java.
• Software Development project on online Amusement Park System of a company:
This was a graduate level project where a company owned many parks which had several rides. Management hierarchy was the critical part of our project. Analysis of requirements was done and then database design and user interface design.. Object oriented programming concepts were applied efficiently. It was implemented using SQL Sever 2005 and ASP.NET with VB.Net as code behind. Implemented crystal reports, Themes, CSS, email system, security using Membership Login. Also got exposure to Windows Communication Foundation.
• IT Project Management and Documentation:
It was management project for a case study of Google who had decided to enhance their existing web based user account application to include “Click fraud” activity application in their advertising program. Then Work Breakdown Structure was prepared along with documentation of Risk Management and Mitigation plan, Quality and Change Control plan. Microsoft Project was used for Sequencing, Resource Allocation and Duration Estimation.
• Implemented project on Data Mining:
The data mining task was to analyze KDDCUP 99. The dataset contains attributes representing properties of network traffic that was to be tested. The task was to build a network intrusion detector, a predictive model capable of distinguishing between “bad” connections called intrusions or attacks, and “good” normal connections. Major tasks include cleaning and transformation of data, building a data model and then model assessment. Intend to build Decision Tree model using Microsoft SSAS and Bayesian Network model using BN Power Predictor.
