PROJECTS

Project 1: LABVOLT-5200

Description: Labvolt robot programming for executing various sequence of processes such as to hold parts in space and move them from one location to another. Remote or software programming is used to configure it in different speed to accomplish complex tasks using RoboCIM in automated sequences.

Project 2: AUTOMATED COOLING SYSTEM USING PLC

Description: Project describes the process of cooling a mixture of two hot fluids for a pre-determined time and using a sensor to sense the temperature change. Worked on AB PLC SLC-5/03 as controller by developing Ladder Logic and interfacing it to SCADA to show the process sequences for screen monitoring.

Project 3: BOTTLE FILLING PLANT

Description: A specialized project having features like rinsing, filling and capping. Successfully programmed Siemens PLC S7-300 using Simatic software. Separate programs were written for each process and integrated together using timers and counters with troubleshooting of the PLC programs.

Project 4: 3-DRUM FLUID BLENDER

Description: Project is designed on Wonderware InTouch SCADA. Designed a scripted SCADA project based on the requirements such as barrel movement on the conveyor belts for mixing of fluids and using alarm annunciation system for safety purpose using Photoelectric sensors and Applied Instrumentation.

Project 5: Furuta Pendulum

Description: Designed Feedback Control Algorithm for Furuta Pendulum on Arm using Pole Placement, LQR, Full Order Observer and Reduced Order Observer then implemented using MATLAB-SIMULINK.

Project 6: Industrial Regulator

Description: Designed Industrial Regulator controller, LVDT and Encoder Sensor models for an Inverted Pendulum on Cart using MATLAB, SIMULINK and XILINX‘s System Generator.

RELEVANT COURSEWORK

Graduate: Control Systems and Component, Project Management, Real-time control systems, DSP with FPGA using VHDL, Microprocessors systems, Flexible and Computer Integrated Manufacturing systems.

Undergraduate: Process & Analytical Instrumentation, Digital Control Systems, DSP Systems and Biomedical Instrumentation, Advanced Control Systems, Engineering Drawing.

Certified Automation Engineering course: Allen-Bradley, Siemens Programmable Logic Controllers, SCADA, HMI, DCS, Final Control Elements (FCE), PID controls, Measurement and Calibration of process variables, HART communication, Process Control using Instrumentation.
