--Master of Science, Industrial Engineering, Arizona State University, Tempe, Arizona.

Graduation: Dec 2007, GPA: 3.8/4.0.

--Bachelor of Engineering, Electronics and Communication, June 2005. Anna University, RMK Engineering College, India. Scaled GPA: 3.7/4.0

--Candidate for Six Sigma Black Belt.

GRADUATE COURSEWORK:

--Six Sigma Methodologies

--Regression Analysis

--Simulating Stochastic Systems

--Applied Deterministic Operations Research.

--Advanced Quality Control

--Design and Analysis of Experiments

--Digital Systems and Circuits

--Verilog HDL

--Information Systems Engineering

--Scheduling – Theory and Applications

WORK EXPERIENCE:

Teaching Assistant - College of Nursing, ASU (08/16/07 - Present)

--Provide software assistance to students in Study Mate, Quandary, and Adobe Captivate.

web Developer , W.P.Carey IT Services (ASU) (07/06-05/07)

--Create and maintain courses on the Black Board TM.

--Create Web pages for the W.P Carey school of MBA using XHTML and Dream Weaver.

Graduate Research Assistant, Macro Technology Works(ASU) (02/06-06/06)

--Performed market research in the field of Microelectronics and Semiconductors.

--Compiled a database using MS Access for the faculty at ASU.

--Conducted patent search for various companies in the field of Microelectronics and Semiconductors.

--Conducted research on Venture Capitals investing in Microelectronics and Semiconductors

Tutor, Disability Resource Center (ASU) (09/05-12/05)

--Tutored disabled students in Mathematics and Physics.

--Proctored and Scribed for the exams.

PROJECTS:

Regression Analysis:

--Created a linear Regression model to determine how the factors like pupil-teacher ratio at primary school, Govt educational expenditure at primary school, average salary of primary school teachers etc. affect the drop out rate at Primary school.

--Performed Residual Analysis, Eigen System Analysis and Principal Components Analysis to verify and validate the model and also to verify model adequacy.

Simulating Stochastic Systems:

--Designed and Analyzed a Simulation model of Bank of America using SLAM II. We analyzed the data for the purpose of fitting a distribution.

--Verified and validated both, the model we created using the data collected and also the alternate model for the system that we proposed.

--Proposed a model that would considerably reduce the length of the queue at the bank and hence more customers being served.

--Compared the results of the existing and the proposed models using an F-test and concluded that the proposed model would give better results, in terms of lesser wait times in the queue.

Applied Deterministic Operations Research:

--Allocation of Oil production to oil wells so as to minimize production costs and maximize profits using AMPL.

--Developed a Mathematical model for solving the popular ‘SUDOKU’ puzzle using AMPL

Design of Experiments:

Factors affecting the printing speed of a printer. Conducted a statistical analysis to determine the factors affecting the printer speed using Design Expert.

--Number of factors – 5, Number of response variables – 1, Design – 2k design with 2 replicates, ? = -0.5 (we used inverse transformation), R2 = 99.13%.

Scheduling – Theory & Applications:

The Effect of Backward Phase on Forward Phase in B-F Heuristic for a Single Machine Total Weighted Tardiness Problem.

--Implemented the Backward and Forward phase in VB.NET and analyzed the time required by the Forward phase algorithm to obtain a near optimal schedule using the Backward Phase and without using it.

--The time data was obtained for 100 problem instances each with 25 jobs.

--Conducted F-test for the two test cases and concluded that when backward phase is used, the forward phase takes lesser time to obtain a near optimal schedule.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

--Languages: C, HTML, XHTML, Verilog HDL, VB.Net and SQL-Plus.

--OS Platforms: MS Windows (95, 98, 2000, NT, XP), UNIX.

--Statistical Tools: Design Expert, JMP, SPSS, Minitab.

--Database: Oracle 10g XE, MS Access.

--Software Packages: Mat Lab, Cadence, MPL, CAD and MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project).

--Web Authoring Tools: Macromedia Dream Weaver, Microsoft FrontPage.

--Graphic Tools: Macromedia Flash.

EXTRA/CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES:

--Student Secretary of the Association of Electronics and Communication Engineers.

--Conducted a National level technical symposium sponsored by IEEE, India.

--Duke of Edinburgh Silver medalist for Community Service
