Cold Fusion Web Developer

Grababargain.com was an online ecommerce site that allowed members to buy and sell both new and used books, videos, DVDs, music, and video games. My daily tasks were to enhance the website with web-based applications as outlined below:

• Research and Development – My level of research expands from finding and implementing the latest technologies; to finding partnerships with data providers. I am familiar with data providers such as CNET, Muze, etc...

• Wireless (WAP) Development – Using the Nokia SDK, I was able to create a simplified mobile version of the grababargain.com website for cell phone and PDA users.

• Price Comparison – This application was designed to compare our best prices to the lowest prices of our affiliate’s websites, to demonstrate that our prices were usually the lowest.

• Online Gift Certificates – This application was designed to allow users to pre-purchase gift certificates. The user could select a design based on holiday or color patterns.

• Some of the last things I did include redesigning the website and creating a storefront, so sellers could have their own sub-site within the grababargain domain.
