Principle Duties, Responsibilities, and Authority:
• Actively participate in daily/weekly meetings for the purpose of ensuring an accurate and efficient production schedule.
• Ensures employees follow safety by following safety procedures and ensure employee adherence.
• Review reports to issue work orders in order to meet production schedule.
• Adhere to equipment preventative maintenance schedules
• Investigate and resolve problems indicated by daily/weekly exception reports to maximize production schedule.
• Review with buyer, vendor acknowledgements and check for deviations to purchase orders.
Experience:
• Experience in set-up and operation of all machines inside Shop.
• Knowledge of tooling and programming incl. ability to perform editing of programs if required.
• Supervision of Heat Treater Employees.
• Participate in day to day operations.
• Supervise, communicate and coordinate with team members to ensure production timelines and shipping dates are met.
• Verify conformance to specifications and directs setup and adjustment of machines.
• Assigns and adjusts workloads and personnel to meet production schedule.
• Participates in developing new procedures and processes to improve manufacturing process and/or introduce new products.
• Troubleshoot work problems with employees through resolution.
• Schedules and coordinates the flow of work within the manufacturing plant to expedite production.
• A review work orders and establishes priorities for specific customer orders and revises schedule according to work order specifications, establishes priorities and availability of workers, parts, materials and equipment.
• Confers with department Manager to coordinate activities of dept.
• Informs Management of scheduling of production problems as they arise.
• Schedule, train, motivate, and supervise production workers.
• Work closely with Customer Service and Quality Control to ensure Customer specifications are met.
