• Supervised the Marine Corps Rifle and Pistol Teams, Precision Weapons Section, Dynamic Entry School, Scout Sniper Instructor School, High Risk Personnel Course, Small Arms Weapons Instructor Course and Basic Marksmanship and Re-qualification instruction for 5000 Marines annually.
• Responsible for the maintenance and accountability of over 12,000 small arms weapons, 66 facilities and 182 acres of range property.
• Reorganized entire battalion structure to facilitate accountability of equipment, assets and training effectiveness. Restructure has resulted in an annual savings of over $400,000 and over 15,000 man-hours.
• Responsible for all facets of battalion safety. Over 800,000 vehicle miles were logged and more than 4 million rounds of ammunition fired without incident.
• Established robust academic and doctrine sections to ensure standardization and currency of all marksmanship related doctrine. Weapons Training Battalion is the US Marine Corps Center of Excellence for marksmanship training and doctrine.
TRAINING AND EXERCISE CHIEF, US OFFICE OF MILITARY July 2004-June 2007 COOPERATION, AMERICAN EMBASSY
Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain
• Served as Deputy Chief, directing a staff of 14 officers responsible for all military to military interactions with the Kingdom of Bahrain.
• Reported to the U.S. Ambassador and Commander, US Central Command. Facilitated all Distinguished Visitor calls with the King, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain.
• Managed all U.S. provided training to Bahrain Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Interior personnel and units totaling $2 million in US provided funding and $27 million annually of Bahrain national funds via Title 22 USC Foreign Military Sales.
• Developed an 8 year Training Plan to support all future Bahraini weapons purchases and training requirements. This plan included graduate, technical and professional military training and education.
• Purchased and coordinated the installation of 3 Multimedia English Language Learning Labs and programs to facilitate success of Bahraini students in US training programs.
• Was instrumental in influencing and securing partial funding for the Kingdom of Bahrain to create a regional Counter Terrorism Center of Excellence.
• Processed over 400 students and 600 accompanying family members to attend training in the United States in support of US Central Command’s Theater Security Cooperation Strategy, thus ensuring future access and interoperability for US Forces in the region.
• Coordinated 9 Bilateral, 6 Multilateral and 3 Special Operation Joint Combined Exchange Training exercises ensuring both US and host nation objectives were met.
• Assisted the Bahrainis in developing a Bahrain Naval Infantry (Marine) capability.

• Supervised the preparation and maintenance of all squadron aircraft for the only FMF EA6B carrier qualification successfully completed since 1996.
• Flew 47 combat missions in support of Operations Northern/Southern Watch enforcing United Nation Security Council resolution no-fly zones.
• Orchestrated successful 3-site maintenance and operation of all squadron aircraft with personnel and assets being deployed simultaneously to Iwakuni Japan, Melbourne Australia and Korat Thailand.
