Project Description:
The project involves system testing of various GSM/UMTS phones. . Goal of system test was to ensure that phone functionality.
Responsibility:
Understand requirements, write test cases and execute various test scenarios.
Creating Automated testing scripts using client’s tool.
I was involved in various phases of testing and some of them are Regression Testing, Performance Testing, Focus Testing,Retesting,Adhoc testing .Creating new test cases in the Test Plan of Quality Center and creating new test suites in Test Lab and executing them.
Test Allocation to resources over Global centers and revision of test reports received.
Creation of Risk list and aligning test planning for each SW version release
Logging defects found during testing and tracking them for fixing. Verification of fixed bugs.
Reproducing and verifying bugs found during operator acceptance phase of the phone.
Regression testing for possible breakdown of some functionality of the phone.
Led the Heuristic Testing to find defects which are not found in regular testing.
Planning and executing focus tests for various scenarios like memory full conditions, power consumption, performance test, content check, icon check, stability test etc.
Suggesting the priority for fixing a defect based on the criticality of the bug.
Testing Sony Ericsson proprietary PC Suite for compatibility and defects. PC suite was also used in testing other areas.

Integration testing is performed on the individual modules after integration process of the various modules. I was involved in preparing the Design Document according to requirements which is useful for both developers and Testers. And writing and executing test cases.
