Quality Technician: March 2009 - Present
As the Quality Technician at CustomPak my responsibilities include laboratory checks of custom blended batches for approval or adjustment. Testing performed includes pH, weight per gallon, viscosity and visual. I also perform incoming inspection of raw materials, line audits and finished goods audits.
Quality Laboratory Manager - Quality Laboratory Technician: August 1995 – March 2009
As the Quality Laboratory Manager and Technician my responsibilities included trouble shooting for the production line, calibrations, physical testing and record keeping for all of the laboratory activities. I utilized Microsoft Word and Excel for the majority of the record keeping. I also used software such as SQC Pack, Datapaq and Advanced Gage Control. I worked with customers to solve substrate/coating problems and provided PPAP testing in a timely manner. In this position I also worked with employees to teach them how to maintain their pretreatment baths and e-coat paint bath.
The testing that I performed included: Salt Spray, Humidity, Water Immersion, Phosphate coating weights, Cure oven traces, Oil Split, Mandrel Bend, Impact, pH, Conductivity, Adhesion, Pencil hardness, Fuel & fluid resistance, Solvent resistance, Soap & water resistance, Chip resistance, Gloss values, Coating thickness, Total alkalinity, Free alkalinity, Total acid, Free acid, Total titanium, Filterable titanium, Accelerator, Fluoride, Paint solids and Shot screening analysis and other coating tests.
I have experience using and checking basic tools such as calipers, micrometers, gage blocks, pressure gages, film thickness gages and other instruments.
Quality Supervisor: May 1985 – August 1995
As a quality Supervisor I was responsible for incoming inspections, in process inspections, final inspections, instructing personal proper procedures, and collecting SPC data. I also checked and adjusted the pretreatment baths. Tests used to check the pretreatment baths included: pH, Conductivity, Total alkalinity, Free alkalinity, Total acid, Free acid, Total titanium, Filterable titanium, Accelerator, Fluoride, and Paint solids.
Quality Inspector: April 1984 – May 1985
As a Quality Inspector I Inspected the in-process product, labeled the final product and set up for product changes.

While working in a General Labor position I inspected and packaged the final product.
