Survey Division Manager for a civil engineering firm in the panhandle of Texas. Responsible for all aspects of management of a surveying division for a mid-sized consulting engineering firm, including but not limited to: scheduling field and office work, supervision of all surveying division employees, project management, business development, client relations, proposals, research, computations and analysis, design and C.A.D. drafting.
Example Projects: Boundary and Title surveys for properties of all sizes (rural and suburban); American Land Title Association (ALTA) surveys; topographic surveys for site design and development; construction staking for roadways, utilities and site development; subdivision and plat design/calc’s and preparation for commercial, single family and multi-family developments; corridor surveys for roadways and utilities easement preparation, design and construction; ground control surveys for aerial mapping and lidar projects; horizontal/vertical control surveys for GIS base mapping, corridor assignment and development highway design and construction; Clients include both private companies, corporations, individuals and public entities including the Cities of Lubbock, Midland, Childress, Amarillo, Levelland, and Slaton, and the Texas Department of Transportation.

Example Projects: Provide ground control for aerial mapping projects, ie., build and place ground photo targets, establish survey control networks and determine horizontal and vertical positions for each target; Prepare ANACP, Development, and Obstruction Surveys for both Commercial and General Aviation Airports; Obtained rotating design Contracts with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) and the Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) – some of the projects we were involved with included the extension of Wonder World Drive (FM-3407), relocation of FM-511 in Brownsville and the widening /improvement design and ROW survey for a fifteen mile section of U.S. Highway 281 in Brownsville, TX.

Member and currently seated as Director of Area 8 for the National Society of Professional Surveyors (NSPS); As the Area 8 Director, I represent Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona. I am also involved with several standing committees forming the infrastructure of NSPS.
Member, Texas Society of Professional Surveyors (TSPS); I have been Chairman of the Publications Committee since 1994, and the Editor of the Society Magazine and Newsletter.
I was appointed to the “Cut-Off-Score” Committee for the Texas Board of Professional Land Surveyors (TBPLS) in 2002; This committee is one of three (3) involved with the creation and management of the Professional Licensing Examination for Surveyors in the State of Texas.
