Research Experience
University of Wisconsin - Platteville Platteville, Wisconsin January 2010 - May 2010
Project Member
• ¬Researched the cost and construction of a solar array and mount it to the side of a building using awning mounts.
• Researched various types of fuel cells and hydrogen including their applications and conduct a 2-3 hour group presentation teaching a class on the material.
¬
University of Wisconsin - Platteville Platteville, Wisconsin September 2009 - May 2010
Research Assistant
• ¬Assisted in the construction of a more efficient device used to prepare model-membrane liposomes by the Rapid Solvent Exchange (RSE) method through improved engineering and process optimization.
• Plan to calibrate and perform experiments on the device.
¬
Biolink Sandnes, Norway January 2008 - June 2008
Research Assistant
• ¬Performed synthesis reactions with 2,3,4,6-tetraacetyl-β-D-glucos to produce selective diastereoisomersof the product.
• Performed synthesis reactions to produce gem-dihalocyclopropanes. More specifically 1,1-dibromo-2-methoxy-2-phenylcyclopropane was produced and then reacted in an attempt at allene synthesization order to gain a better understanding of pharmaceutical precursors.
