Professional Experience
Army National Guard, 2002 - 2012
SGT - Completed 9-year career with the U.S. Army. Gained upper-level seniority ranks. Participated in the complete revitalization and overhaul of the U.S. Military in general - and the U.S. Army specifically.
An active participant in the swift/forceful turnaround of the armed forces that led to the U.S. victory in Operation Noble Eagle and Operation Enduring Freedom. Part of the management team that proved that the military could be managed like a well-tuned corporate machine (same size as Cooper Vision.). A successful record for managing complex battalions, supervising low workforce of soldiers through the line-management personnel, responsible for millions of dollars in assets and equipment.
Surface Maintenance Repairer As an integral member of a mechanical shop, inspect and perform field, sustainment maintenance and recovery operations on gasoline and diesel fueled light wheeled vehicles, trailers, power plants and associates parts and items on materials or equipments. Perform maintenance, repair, troubleshoot, inspection and overhaul on a variety of combat, tactical, commercial and special purpose vehicles. Make modifications to assemblies and components such as hubs, voltage regulators, generators, alternators, brake cylinders, etc. Inspect supported equipment prior to use during Inactive Duty Training and Annual Training to ensure maintenance of vehicles functioning properly. Diagnosis, routine repairs on heavy duty and automotive equipment. Determine the cause of mechanical failures by means of visual -audio checks, technical manuals and knowledge in the use of basic test equipment such as compression testers and pressure gauges and tools. Remove, replace, adjust, clean and install parts and components such as seals, switches, sensors, fuel pumps, water pumps power steering pumps, brake cylinders, filters, radiators, bearings, spring and shocks absorbers, wheels assemblies, starter motors, mufflers, battery cables and other items similar complexity. Assists in the maintenance of production reports and records. Performs other duties as assigned.
Light Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic As a Senior Mechanic, Inspect routine maintenance or limited repairs on related equipment. In absence of the production controller or tool attendant, may maintain documentation, receipts, store, issue and inventory of tools and parts. Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and major repair on heavy-duty mobile equipment, combat, tactical, and automotive vehicles. Troubleshoot, repair or overhaul as a regular and recurring duty, work in a variety of the mechanically complex major systems to include internal combustion engines, turbine engines, automatic and non-automatic transmissions, heavy duty drive line systems, and hydraulic utility systems and controls, multi-system transmissions and a variety of fuel injection type systems. Make repairs and modifications to assemblies and components. Use test equipment such as engine analyzers, compression testers, voltmeters, ohmmeters, pressure gauges and computer diagnostic tools. Utilize diagnostics in equipment and a wide variety of specialized original equipment manufacturer system analyzers in order to determine the exact nature or extent of repair. Determine what adjustments may be necessary to complete job orders, and whether any additional repairs other than those specified or indicated on the job order are necessary. Remove, disassemble and make the appropriate repairs on engines and complex major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, and fuel, hydraulic, and oil pressure systems in accordance with the proper repair specifications and procedures, and improvises repair techniques when standard procedures are not available. .
