Education:
Master of Science -Applied Statistics
August 2007: West Chester University, West Chester, PA
Major Courses:
Introduction to Statistical Computing and Data Management:
It covers computer-programming skills necessary for statistical analysis of data, primarily relying on the SAS System software for statistical analysis.
Biostatistics for Public Health:
This course covered an overview of scientific methods, research design, and sampling and survey techniques pertinent to the study of health issues with the emphasis on choice and use of epidemiological and statistical software to analyze health data sets.
Statistical Issues in the Pharmaceutical Industry:
This course covered introduction and overview of statistical issues that are common in the pharmaceutical industry. This course also covers issues involved in designing pharmaceutical studies, in particular clinical trials, and in analyzing the data arising from such studies.
Survival Analysis:
This course gave experience using common methods for survival analysis, including Kaplan-Meier Methods, Life Table Analysis, parametric regression methods, and Cox Proportional Hazard Regression. Comfortable understanding and applying all commonly used methods for survival data to data arising from a wide variety of disciplines. The emphasis was on application of the concepts and ideas involved in data analysis and interpretation of results. Learned how to program every method discussed using SAS and be able to interpret all output for SAS procedures for basic survival methods.
