Abstract : Radio frequency identification (RFID) is a general term that is used to describe a system that transmits the identity (in the form of a unique serial number) of an object wirelessly, using radio waves.Radio-frequency identification (RFID) is an automatic identification method, relying on storing and remotely retrieving data using devices called RFID tags or transponders. RFID stands for Radio Frequency Identification, and is contact less, storage of small amounts of data on trivial circuits powered by the reader infrastructure itself. An RFID (Radio-Frequency Identification) tag consists of a small silicon microchip attached to an antenna.
