CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

• Complete redesign of zhats.com to be css-tableless and §508 compliant while increasing my specialties in SEO/SEM

• Built web based polls and was more responsible for graphical design components on zhats.com

• Developed, designed and maintained the external http://www.sun.com/executives/ website. Skill-set included JSP, XML, RSS and CMS control and maintenance. Many components I developed for this site have become sun.com standard components.

• Developed a robust course curriculum manager leveraging my skill-sets in Perl, XML and JSP. A Perl/CGI script parsed a very large spreadsheet transforming it into an XML file and loaded said file into a relational database. From the XML, a JSP program extracted relevant information to display to the browser. Each course printed to the browser then had AJAX functionality to “expand” the course in more detail. The client had the ability to update the curriculum from a front end web-based CGI by simply uploading a new spreadsheet and clicking a button to “generate” the new instance of the curriculum mapping manager while storing each subsequent version in SVN.

• Converted hundreds of documents, PDFs and web pages to reach §508 Compliance for SJSU.

• Developed a Perl script to convert tagged PDFs into other web-friendly formats (XML, HTML, JSP)

• Developed a GUI based CGI to register for a Summit provided by Sun Microsystems. necessary corrections; including making updates and the ability to remove/delete records from the database. This was all controlled from the password protected GUI Administration page.
