Test Engineer

Responsible for the testing of my assigned vehicle fleet. Responsible for scheduling maintenance and repair of assigned vehicle fleet. Full responsibility for programming of flight recorder on each test vehicle. Flight recorder is used for data capture. Consult with engineering in the root cause analysis of a failed part or parts. After analysis, input all information into assigned database. Serve as the information technology liaison for our parent company, Smithers Scientific Services.

• Through a series of data capture, instrumentation, road evaluations and re-worked components, successfully diagnosed and corrected a transmission overheat issue two months prior to vehicle’s Fall 2004 European launch.

• Successfully assisted engineering in resolving a diesel fuel management problem encountered during road evaluations. The issue was not encountered during dyno-testing. The issue was traced to poor materials within the fuel pump’s drive gears.

• In 16 weeks, managed to complete a 10,000 mile special evaluation test on a soft top before the April 2004 release of the long wheelbase Wrangler Unlimited. The new top had reinforced C-pillars, in which the original extended top at 60 MPH would collapse, hindering rearward visibility. The test soft top endured the 10,000 miles without any damage and never collapsed.

• Part of development team for ISO 17025 implementation.

• Conduct thorough inspection for mechanical integrity of vehicles scheduled to run in excess of 120 MPH.

• Instruct new hires in automotive terminology, issue reporting and business ethics.

• Provide network support and perform network administration.

• Provide end user computer support.

• Perform all hardware and software installation.
