Head of product marketing & general manager with global P&L responsibility for SanDisk’s Sansa-brand audio player (MP3) product line, #2 in market share in the Americas behind Apple’s iPod. Oversee product & channel marketing, product development & product roadmaps, business development, demand forecasting, long range planning, and reverse supply chain for the product line. Led business since Jan.’09, replacing prior SVP.
-- Led turnaround of the business, converting it from a lagging performer into a significant profit contributor; in 2009, increased year-over-year profits by +$155M and delivered 29% of SanDisk’s F’09 global retail profits.
-- Directly responsible for delivering 14 quarters of profitability (and counting) in a mature and declining market: over $380M in gross revenues, over $100M in operating income, and $85M+ in free cash flow since Jan.’09. OPERATIONS:
-- Led cross-functional 10-person team in the successful operational launch of slotMusic in Fall F’08, a new business for SanDisk. Launch consisted of 62 unique SKUs and 430 kUnits shipped in a 9-week time span.
-- Led team in reengineering and improving management of BU’s reverse supply chain, a $20M business in itself in F’07, reducing inventories by 60% within 12 months and freeing up over $6M in cash.
FINANCE & STRATEGY:
-- Managed Controller and staff, with oversight of BU’s P&L, annual planning, departmental budgeting, pro forma modeling, cost-cutting, and reporting; approved Marketing’s pricing and channel promotions activities.

-- Developed first phase of global Fruit sourcing strategy in Latin America and East Asia.
