Professional Profile

Mr. James W. Logan is an IT Specialist on the IBM Global Account. He has over 15 years of experience supporting the Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) and other various accounts (Microelectronics Division, etc.) Areas of technical experience include accounts receivable & accounts payable for inter-company cost

accounting operations and design automation applications respectively. Mr. Logan has lead projects through all phases of development, test and PPS (Post Production Support) including design, code and test (unit, system, integration, and user acceptance test). Mr. Logan’s clients have praised his knowledge of their Costing Accounting operations along with his technical experience of the development cycle.

Mr. Logan has been responsible for test activities (SIT/UAT,Pre-prod,FOT/FOV), on multiple projects for IBM’s ISC systems. He worked on multiple teams and assisted new team members with current & future test methodologies.

Mr. Logan received honorable mention during the Lenovo segmentation project for his role in addressing a

$50 million dollar out of balance in their inter-company accounts.

In the spring of 2005, a new instance of SAP was deployed to support Lenovo independent of IBM business processing. A buy/sell model was deployed to allow Lenovo to buy from IBM between the two SAP instances. Also Lenovo deployed a Singapore financial processing enhancement for their worldwide order management except for US inventory shipping to US customers.

These projects more than doubled the support requirements of the finance team as we were supporting two customers, multiple company codes, and the interfaces between them. Some of the activities I led during the implementation and deployment of these projects were; create and execute test plans, build test cases activities and assign them to team members, identify and create test data, support SIT, UAT, Pre-prod, FOT/FOV, deployment, and PPS activities. The team also train and educated our clients. I coordinated test activities between my RTP team and India test team. In my SME lead PPS role, I was responsible for the timely resolution of manage now tickets and month-end/year-end financial closings.
