I graduated from EDS's Systems Engineering Development program in
1991 and ranked at the top of my class of 30 Engineers. I was asked
to stay on as an assistant instructor upon graduation. While employed
with EDS, I worked for General Motors (GM) using the following programming languages:
* IBM 3270 Mainframe programming including: TSO, ISPF, MVS, COBOL,
PLI, CICS, JCL, FOCUS, SAS, IBM QMF, Easytrieve, Syncsort,
and Assembler. I was the project leader for a complete overhaul
of GM's plant time-keeping system and rail-loading system. I was
responsible for maintaining all programs/jobs running for the
plant's Material, Inventory, Scheduling, Personnel, Time-keeping,
Payroll, and all Financial systems. I also had the responsibility
for all ad-hoc reporting from these systems.
* UNIX programming on both IBM AIX and Hewlett Packard HP-UX platforms.
I attended Hewlett Packard's HP-UX System Administrators training.
* Personal Computer programming in DOS, Windows 3.xx & 95, C, MSAccess,
Excel, and Lotus 1-2-3 (macro programming). Also networked UNIX
servers to PCs over an 802.3 TCP/IP Ethernet network.
