CSA, Kuwait City, Kuwait, Protection Officer 10/2009-06/2011

Security and leadership skills, abilities, and experience utilized to secure and protect a population of 10,000 military personnel at a U.S. Army base.

Act as Supervisor to direct, train and evaluate up to10 Security Officers in monitoring, patrolling and guarding the military installation entrance and exit points, at the gate, and from exterior perimeters and tower points.

Authorize entrance/departure of employees, contractors, Coalition Forces, U.S. government personnel, approved visitors, and other persons to maintain security of premises.

Check/inspect approximately 400 incoming vehicles per shift for: Unidentified Devices (UIDs), general appearance of vehicles, engine to bumper inspections, overall disposition and identification of passengers, electronic devises in/on/around vehicle, movement of vehicle through lanes, and related. Operated detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas.

Patrol and monitor premises to preserve order, protect property, prevent theft, violence and infractions of rules.

Led weekly training to acquire new skills in security, instrument use, and weapon expertise.

Computer literate in operations of government systems such as: Ion Scanners, Backscatter X-Ray machines, Under-Vehicle-Surveillance Systems, and Mobile Vehicle X-Ray Scanning machines.

Possess personal weapons expertise/experience using 9MM, M4, M16, M60, M249, and other security equipment.

Achieved a 98% success rate at identifying and removing threats to Army base property and personnel.

RUTLEDGE STATE PRISON, Columbus, GA, Correction /Tactical Squad Officer 08/2006-08/2009

At a correctional institution housing an average population of approximately 1,000 adult male inmates at any given time, ensured security and inmate accountability as well as adherence policies and procedures to prevent disturbances, assaults or escapes.

Visually checked 160 inmates in assigned dormitory; completed scheduled and random checks; inspected facilities, cells and other areas of institution; inspected locks, windows, doors and gates for signs of tampering. Maintained reports on inmate conduct and quality/quantity of work done by inmates.

Achieved recognitions for attaining full security with no unauthorized releases.
