-Infantryman involved many different areas of combat tactics, security, reconnaissance, land navigation, and others.
-I was deployed to Hurricane Katrina (Aug05-Oct05) to aid in the recovery of New Orleans.
-I worked Mission tracking and Intelligence in Iraq (Sep08-Oct09). This involved radio communications, satellite navigation, various military map and plotting software, and detailed logs. My job also involved a tremendous amount of multi-tasking, organization, and technical knowhow to ensure the mission’s success.

This job started out as a low-level contract through TEKsystems, but ended (after 3 months) in a full-time, high-level position. My duties were vast and varied but also fit the standard mold of a server administrator. These duties also included occasional project manager. Graham is a worldwide company so my work included interactions with administrators globally to achieve desired results. Graham Packaging had an enterprise-level infrastructure with over eight thousand users.
Examples of completed projects:
-I completed a full implementation of VirusScan Enterprise 8.5i to entire infrastructure using Orchestrator. This includes hundreds of servers and thousands of workstations. The administration piece (McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator) was server-based and handled thousands of nodes remotely. This aided in streamlining and automating our virus protection and spyware needs. In effect, it gave us more time to concentrate on lingering tasks, which helped propel productivity forward.
-I aided and created SOX-compliant practices (documentation and policies) to ensure approval from D&C auditors. This helped my company meet it’s compliancy goals.
-I successfully implemented VMware server with ESX to begin the virtualization of our data center. Before leaving, I had many production servers live on VMware, all on the same physical server(s). This reduced electricity costs, saved space, and helped thoroughly organize our data center.
