EXPERIENCE

2000 - Present Systems/Network Engineer, TKYGroup, Chicago, IL. IT consultant responsible for all facets of clients IT infrastructure from maintenance, to design, to build/install

• Won a client after their (now old) IT consulting company could not recover data from a dead server or push said data to the new server. I had to rebuild file structure in order recover backups. The server that had died was the FSMO roles master I had to force the new server to become the FSMO roles master as well.

• Spun up hybrid VOIP solution Mitel phones and Cisco 3560 POE switches. Client is still using old Mitel PBX for old section but Mitel VOIP for new section of buildings

• Upgraded networks, including the installation of servers, workstations, switches, routers, firewalls, Wi-Fi access points, application software

• Maintained servers, workstations, switches, routers, firewalls, and Wi-Fi access points, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, WINS, NetBIOS, NAT, PAT, Exchange (2000, 2003, 2007), MS SQL (2000, 2005), application servers, anti-spam(Google's Postini), security patches, anti-virus definitions and performance monitoring.

• Rebuilt and refurbished equipment for re-use this maximized return on investment

• Two clients that shared IT infrastructure wanted to split "Company A" kept old "Company B" built new. Designed and built new network for "Company B" including phone, broad band access, and migrating "Company B" email boxes from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2007 server on a different and separate network.

• Migrated Domain Architecture from NT to 2000 to 2003 to 2008 Active Directory. Note: had one NT domain forced to 2000 AD

• Migrated clients, with assistance, from 3Com switches to Cisco 2900 series Trucked switches.

• Migrated clients, with assistance, from SQL 2000, to SQL 2005

• Designed and deployed Cisco 1200 series wifi access points
