Founder East & West Trading Company, 2004 - 2009
Founded a company in Syria for the Marwan Group of companies of Sharjah, UAE. Responsible and authorized to interview and hire all positions. In a short time, the company was established in offering excellent sales and after-sales services for JCB, Kobelco, Sakai, & Newholland. Primary responsibility was finance, sales, parts, and service. All Managers were reporting directly to me.

As Sales Manager for Syria, I was responsible for the three branches of Damascus, Aleppo, & Lattakia for M. E. Jallad, the Caterpillar Dealer for Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, and West bank & Ghaza Strip. I led the sales and marketing system in all branches and worked very close to my sales engineers and staff. Reported to head office in Lebanon and had direct contacts with Caterpillar head office in Geneva, Switzerland. This was a challenging position because most Syrian customers were unaware of Caterpillar Power Generation Sets and Forklift trucks, they only knew about earth moving equipment. Under my leadership, our sale team was able to achieve 70% of market share.

As sales Engineer at Abu Dhabi Branch with the Caterpillar Dealer in the Persian Gulf Region, managed territories by making a daily visits to customers, preparing quotations, closing deals, participating in tenders, submitting daily visits report to management, and assisting in writing machines sales forecast & annual business plans. Marketed, promote, and sold Caterpillar earth moving machines, material handling equipment, Power Generation Sets, & Marine Engines as well as non-Caterpillar products such as Oshkosh Trucks, Lorain Cranes, Atlet warehouse forklifts, Barbber-Greene Pavers, Telsmith Crushers, and Hiab Truck Mounted Cranes.
