Built Hitachi High Technology’s first major software product from the ground-up as the lead technical architect for the iFrame platform. iFrame represents a bold strategic diversification effort for a company that currently drives 90% of the global semiconductor metrology market - offering a critical growth and recurring revenue opportunity to HTA through software and service business models. Led the project through technical and business planning phases, and ushered in the significant cultural change required for this well-established hardware leader to meet the unique challenges of software development.
* Re-imagined existing techniques used in the storage and interpretation of large volumes of image and text files for the purposes of research, optimization and quality control in semiconductor manufacturing. Architected a solution that efficiently manages large quantities of data and allows machines to optimize production in real time. Created a software architecture and technical framework that is currently the basis for a Hitachi HTA patent filing and has been designated for use on all current and future products of Hitachi High Technology.

Recruited as an APL consultant and subsequently hired as a development manager responsible for leading the ongoing design and development of APL’s marquis cargo management and tracking software suite SeeChange. SeeChanage has been a landmark development in the supply chain management industry that has enabled large retailers to locate, track, search and analyze APL’s complex globally distributed supply chain. Designed and optimized a highly configurable and customizable cloud-based solution that has enabled APL to save over a million dollars in recurring costs, and allowed on-boarding of APL Logistics customers in matter of minutes instead of days.
* Delivered an easy-to-customize product that is used by over 1000 customers including top global brands such as Walmart, Nike and Limited Brands.
* Budgeted, planned, staffed, mentored, and managed a 20+ person on-site and offshore team. Established a clear team hierarchy and the technical framework for the project’s completion. Divided work up among targeted project groups and constantly monitored the achievement of milestones.
* Provided uniform and enriched user experience by re-designing and re-implementing the original custom-designed SeeChange solution into Websphere Portal 5.1 and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). This involved complete refactoring of the User Interface to leverage JSR168 standards and established a framework for on-boarding of new customers with no change in source code.
* Implemented search and reporting functionality that enabled flexibility and reusability of the platform across a broad range of client needs.
