Internet & Intranet Banking Solution (client: National Bank of Canada)

This project was focussed on building an Oracle shared services architecture, taking into consideration application characteristics and regulatory restrictions and providing a highly available architecture with Disaster Recovery (DR).

• Completed ODS (the service offering) & analysis for the project;

• Designed solution: consolidated & virtualized infrastructure (including P5, P6, Bled, DS8100, DS8300), completed software & application upgrades (including Oracle/RAC 10gr2, Websphere), deployed remote replication with Dataguard and Oracle Stream, & created disaster recovery solution (Flashcopy, VCS-GDOC);

• Defined and implemented standard backup and recovery strategy based on customer requirement and SLA;

• Solution implementation: installed all servers & software, created database & backup configuration, installed monitoring (Tivoli, Grid Control: 10g and 11g);

• Assisted application team in testing activities;
