SELECTED ACHIEVEMENTS:
• Created a plan to streamline hospital intake department resulting in a 50% increase in hospital admissions over a 5-year period.
• Directed over 25 successful managed care contracts resulting in a 30% increase in reimbursement rates for additional inpatient revenues of over $1M per year. New managed care product lines also increased clinic volume 10%.
• Managed a team who successfully reduced collection turnover time by 30% by employing new technology and reviewing and restructuring collection processes. The result was an increase in cash flow of over $2M.
• Evaluated the 2004 Hospital annual budget and identified operating cost reductions of $1.3M through the elimination of duplication of efforts and non-essential tasks.
• Improved Indirect Cost rate for Federal research grants from 49.7% to over 76% through improved cost finding mechanisms providing the Research Institute with nearly $800K in additional revenues per year.
• Negotiated contracts for management and delivery of rehabilitation services for 12 skilled nursing facilities capturing additional market share. Realized administrative fee of $150K and large database for collection of outcomes data to be used in future negotiations.
• Increased community awareness of the facility and produced positive cash flows through the development of an adult fitness center. Results were nearly 1,000 members and $400K net cash in the first 12 months of operation.
• Led the development of business plans and identifying strategic locations resulting in the opening of 3 successful outpatient clinics producing over 15,000 additional patient visits with additional net revenues of over $600K per year. Potential growth will produce 10,000 additional visits.
