Career Summary
I have more than 3.8 years of experience as a Software Validation Engineer. I am currently working in the Payment BU in the Integration and Validation team at Gurgaon. I have been involved in analysis of system specification, preparation of testing schedules and creation & execution of test plans. Description: The objective was to test Packet Charging Service for all data calls. The service development took place in Belgium unit of Alcatel.
Role: Team Member. Involved in complete test cycle for 2 major releases.

Project 2: Convergent Rating Engine (CRE) – Belgium (Onsite)
Duration: March 2006 – August 2006
Description: The Convergent Rating Engine is the central module of the Open Services Platform’s (OSP’s) convergent billing. It is a converged billing service used for prepaid as well as postpaid billing.
Role: Team Member. Involved in the complete project test cycle including understanding, analysis and planning phases. Played a major role in creating automated data prepopulation scripts. Also involved in Fault report analysis and testing.

Project 3: Convergent Rating Engine (CRE) – India
Duration: August 2006 – July 2008
Description The Convergent Rating Engine is the central module of the Open Services Platform’s (OSP’s) convergent billing. It is a converged billing service used for prepaid as well as postpaid billing. In this phase it grew bigger in terms of simultaneous multiple releases of the same product. At present there are 7 releases that are present all at the same time, each having newer features and better implementations.
Role: Team Lead/Team Member. Involved in managing a team of test engineers and having complete ownership of the tasks assigned to the team. Also involved in test execution and playing the role of Level1 support for any technical queries for the complete team. Also involved in fault report analysis and testing.

Project 4: Vodafone Australia
Duration: July 2008 – Oct 2008 and Jan 2009 – Till Date
Description Vodafone Australia is one of the most prestigious customers of Alcatel-Lucent and requires the ICC 452 package (sans a few small services) customized according to its needs and requirements. I was a part of the integration and validation team involved in ensuring that a high quality product with maximum adherence to the functional requirements is delivered to the customer.
Role: Team Member. Involved in test execution, analysis and defect reporting for the customized ICC452 and ICC462 packages for Vodafone Australia. Also playing the role of Level1 support for any technical queries for the complete team regarding any CRE issues.

Project 5: BSNL India
Duration: Oct 2008 – Dec 2008
Description BSNL India is the biggest customer of Alcatel-Lucent in India and requires the ICC 462 package customized according to the Indian telecom scenario (for example National Roaming, Circle specific customer care etc.). I was involved in integration and validation of the deliverables to BSNL to ensure a fine quality delivery with highest conformance to the customer requirements. Also, due to certain unavoidable circumstances, the customer had reduced the delivery time by 30% but in spite of the less time we completed the full testing of the delivery on time, which helped me getting the nomination for Company’s Achiever of the Month (CAM) award.
