Career Experience:

NCR Corp West Columbia SC (1993-1995): Intern Manufacturing Engineering

In this role I worked with the Manufacturing Engineering Team for NCR Mid-range Servers. I assisted with designing of factory floor and shipping area layouts selection and procurement of material handling and storage equipment and manufacturing assembly tools development of manufacturing and quality processes equipment calibration and design and test of product packaging for shipment. Led several small capital projects (<$250 000) to implement the above.

NCR Corp West Columbia SC (1995-1998): Design Engineer (Mechanical)

I was a key member of a Product Development Team that designed and brought to market Entry-Level Servers and PC s targeted at business computing. In this role I engaged in collaborative design with outsourced ODM partners which involved sheet metal power and data cabling plastics thermal and packaging design as well as product testing prior to release.

Solectron Corp West Columbia SC (1998-2007): Senior Systems Engineer (Mechanical)

Our team was acquired from NCR by Solectron. Initially a continuation of product development for NCR our focus evolved quickly into a smaller cross-functional engineering services team working with numerous OEM customers in Computing Telecom Medical Retail and Self-Service Automation (Kiosks). The scope of my experience expanded to include project management focal point customer interface technical supplier management power supply and distribution value engineering DFx project cost and schedule estimating for RFQ responses and virtual (remote) design teaming as well as design and test knowledge of an ever-growing range of product types and technologies.

Flextronics Corp West Columbia SC (2007-2009): Senior Systems Engineer (Mechanical)

Solectron was acquired by Flextronics in late 2007. We were integrated into a larger Industrial products design team with increasing emphasis on Self-Service Automation (Kiosks). I worked very closely with manufacturing engineering for New Product Introductions kaizens and quality improvements and lean manufacturing implementations.
