I have worked as a Construction Manager, Construction Office manager, Estimator, Project supervisor or Project Coordinator for the last 20 years. I have supervised personally up to 50 people on one project and managed projects up to 5.1 million dollars in value at one time, I have also coordinated up to 12 projects at one time while estimating and managing other projects. I am familiar and have estimated and supervised all trades of construction.
I Live in Scappoose and will be there the rest of my life; I feel I am a good candidate for your company and will be an asset to the City and Community.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
1. Here is some of my experience as construction management.
The largest company I worked for was Cliff Woodruff Const. His company did about 30 million per year. At Cliff Woodruff Construction and Design Inc. My tasks where to perform all area’s of Estimating and Coordinating from the development process thru final occupancy of all the Commercial projects that the company performed. I Estimated all commercial projects and coached the Residential Estimating team.
I have had more interesting and challenging jobs in the past with a definite positive outcome in all cases, one of my most exiting experiences was when I work on the PGT/PGE pipeline project, I worked for a sub contractor, and we had joint ventures with the Bechtel Corporation. I experienced all administrative procedures of the joint ventures and performed as a project manager on five substations from Washington thru California. According to some of the Bechtel corporations field representatives, my change order tracking and project tracking was considered outstanding! I estimated all substation work from Alaska to Bakersfield California. And ended up successfully completing and managing the 5 sub station projects for the company I worked for, Griffith Construction.
2. Hers is some of my experiences with supervision, lead work, or project management.
In 1990 Right after I got out of American Institute of Construction Training, at age 29 I took a job as an Estimator for Griffith Construction in Stockton, Ca. As soon as I started there I developed company policies and procedures for the entire company, the entire office, field supervisors, all employees, estimators, billing, liens and lien procedures.
4. Other trades I have worked at Include underground Petroleum Tank Testing with Heath Petro-Tite Testing Equipment
Plumbing of FRP pipe and underground Fuel storage installations, which also included copper tube and rubber hose plumbing.
5. Hobbies: Nostalgia Drag Racing, Cars Cruises, Quading, Camping, Fishing, anything family oriented!
3. Here is some of my experience in long-range planning for capital improvements and renovation, including funding allocation and setting priorities.
I have attended and participated in three professional company evaluations which included identifying and setting 1, 3, 5, and 10 year goals with target areas of concern and procedures to get them accomplished. Also identifying present problems and creating policies to overcome them.
