PROJECT DETAILS:

Title of the project : “ BROADCASTING GUARANTEED COVERAGE IN MANETS. ”

Main Objective : To determine a small set of forward nodes to ensure full coverage.

Software Used : Microsoft Visual Basic .Net

Project Description : MANET is used to get efficient broadcasting with guaranteed coverage. The local view of each node on its neighborhood information is updated in a timely manner. Three sufficient conditions are connectivity, link availability & consistency. And two transmission ranges, one for neighborhood information collection & other for actual data transmission, to form a buffer zone that guarantees the availability of logical links in a physical networks. A mechanism called “ aggregated local view ” used to ensure consistent local views.

Conclusion : A mobility management method based on the use of two transmission ranges. This mechanism uses, it extended Wu and Dai’s coverage condition to a dynamic environment where network topology is allowed to change, even during the broadcast process. In future would be automatic buffer zone width adjustment that adapts to the neighborhood mobility level.
