Motorola, Inc. Technology QA Test Team 01/2009 – present

Sr. Software Test Engineer

Responsibilities:

Work with program managers, developers and business analysts to understand the system and provide input on overall test strategy. Study requirements, use cases and functional specifications documents to create test cases and test plans based on them. Develop automated scripts and provide test results analysis. Enhance test processes to release most efficient test suites and decrease escaped defects. Drive defects resolution to closure and follow up on future product releases. Development of automation tools to target testing of various software components. Implement complex test systems set ups. Perform manual black and white box testing as well as automated test execution.

• Performed manual black and white box testing as well as automated test execution of various applications components including massive Regulatory Certification Compliance test suites. Current work load is 3 software builds per week, each build consists of Sanity and Monkey tests and extended regression test suites (over 2000 test cases) that contains API level testing, functional, integration and white box testing. Updated test results in commonly used repository. Validated actual test results against expected results.

• Submitted CRs (Change Requests) for every failure and provided support to development team to resolve issues. Worked on “hot” issues that require immediate attention, quick turn around and fast resolution. Escalated high risk issues to upper management to insure fast resolution.

• Slashed department’s spending by $10K per year for SW license fees and $25K one time fee by developing internal company automation solutions to test different SW components.
