EMPLOYMENT HISTORY
January 2008 To Present – Stantec Consulting
Current position is Senior Project Manager for a national petroleum company’s upstream projects. The projects include compressor stations, gas plants, pipelines, petroleum storage facilities, and former petroleum production fields. Duties include personnel management, project review, budget implementations, proposals, report review, behavior based health, safety, and security of projects, subcontractor management, and interaction with regulatory agencies. Instruct new subcontractors in proper drilling and safety techniques and regulations.
Senior Project Manager for a national petroleum company’s Caribbean projects. The projects include former terminals and retail sites. Duties include personnel management, budget implementations, proposals, report review, behavior based health, safety, and security of projects, and subcontractor management. Instruct subcontractors and professionals in proper drilling and safety techniques.
April 2004 to January 2008 – Delta Consultants
Portfolio Manager for a national petroleum company’s multi-state portfolio which included pipeline release projects, petroleum terminal projects, petroleum loading facilities, and retail gasoline site projects. These projects, located in four different states, were in various stages of remediation from assessment, to passive remediation, to active remediation. Duties included interaction with regulatory agencies, personnel management, project review, budget implementation, health, safety, and security, subcontractor management, and all aspects of remediation.
Project manager for numerous petroleum related investigations throughout the Caribbean. The projects included retail gasoline facilities, terminal operations, pipelines, and greenfields. Both Phase I and Phase II assessments were conducted. Projects include supervision of remediation system installations, site investigation activities, and field operations. Trained consultants and subcontractors in proper safety techniques and environmental methods.
April 1997 To April 2004 – The WCM Group, Inc.
Environmental project manager and client contact for the environmental/sensitive receptor phase of a 23-mile long pipeline construction project, including the construction of associated pumping stations and storage tanks. Performed a detailed environmental and safety audit which involved a visual inspection of the entire pipeline corridor prior to construction, and a review of all available historical records and permit applications. Prepared emissions inventories, permit-by-rule applications, and assisted with various phases of Title V and permit renewal applications for petroleum storage facilities. Project manager for numerous refined and unrefined product releases nationwide, occurring from piping ruptures, transportation related incidents, and storage tank/valve ruptures. Performed or supervised the assessment, delineation, and preparation of remedial measures at sites throughout Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Kentucky. Several sites included releases which affected “sensitive areas” including creeks and rivers. Performed a due diligence investigation on an electrical generation facility for property transfer in Central Texas and consisted of the review of active water process wells, pipelines, waste disposal pits, generation processes, and all permits with report preparation documenting the known impact, historical releases, and compliance status of the sites. Project Manager for a major oil field service company projects, which consisted of metals impact, hydrocarbon impact, and chlorinated solvents impact. Coordinated the work conducted by numerous contractors and performed all of the senior review and client and agency interaction duties.
August 1994 to April 1997 – Terranext, Inc.
Project Manager on major railroad projects. Conducted and/or supervised underground storage tank investigations and removals, well installations, soil borings, water sampling, delineation of contaminant plumes, and remedial system design and installation. Supervised the cleanup of several petrochemical spills ranging from less than one hundred gallons to greater than six thousand gallons. Provided emergency response assistance at derailment projects. Duties included interaction with regulatory agencies, project review, budget implementation, health, safety, and security, and subcontractor management.
May 1991 to August 1994 – IT Corporation
Staff Geologist for various clients and project types. Performed over 50 Phase I ESAs for major oil companies, major trucking companies, law firms, and real estate companies. These assessments included undeveloped, commercial, residential, pipeline, and industrial properties. Performed a PST compliance audit of all underground storage tanks owned by a major waste management/transporting company, including a review of all related files for sites nationwide. Conducted aquifer tests (step and pump tests), and vapor extraction tests for the design of remediation systems. Conducted compliance audits at waste disposal facilities in Texas for a major oil company. Supervised daily drilling and geologic operations for 2000-foot water quality wells at a government installation.
September 1989 to May 1991 – Envirotest, Inc.
Managed numerous asbestos abatement projects. Clients were major industrial facilities throughout the United States. Supervised a petroleum refinery wide asbestos survey that included the collection of approximately three hundred bulk samples, analyses of these samples, marking of the asbestos containing material, drafting line drawings of all units, and estimating cost of removal.
