Kuwait National Petroleum Company – MAA Refinery

as “Inspection Engineer”.

In charge inspection engineer for ARD (Atmospheric residue desulphurization) & HP (Hydrogen Production) Units and responsible for all inspection activities, repairs or modifications for pipelines and static equipment such as: Direct fired heaters, Reformers, Heat exchangers (including breech lock type – coolers - steam generators – condensers), Pressure vessels, towers…etc.

Reviewing and approving equipment shutdown lists, materials for repair or replacement and NDT techniques & reports.

Liaise with the Maintenance and Process functions for risk assessment, problem resolution, supply of equipment and work process improvement.

To collect data and history for (RBI) Risk Based Inspection methodology to enhance Plants Integrity and Reliability in order to optimize inspection frequencies, maintenance cost and plant downtime using Shell’s RRM,

assist the corrosion engineer to establish the corrosion loops and Prepare

corrosion rate charts based on thickness measurements records.

SUCO- Ras Budran (Oil Field) – as a “Plant Inspector”.

Internal inspection for pressure vessels, desalination units, heat exchangers, coolers, condensers, Drums flare stake assembly, direct fire heaters, storage tanks, water tanks, and towers. Familiar with requirement regarding codes & specifications

Participating in the annual inspections plan for the equipment of Ras Budran field and executing the inspection activates.

Carry out UT thickness readings for vessels & pipelines, hardness test and hydro tests.

Failure analysis, corrosion type identification and give alternative recommendations regarding material upgrading.

Supervision and follow up under water inspection for pipelines and platforms structure and well head jackets, intelligent pigging, painting activities and lifting inspection.

Witness pressure safety valves maintenance and calibration.

Materials inspector.

Prepare and follow up all repair procedures required.

Follow up heat treatment and leak testing activities.
