Managed field construction staff, and office staff. Responsible for all purchasing and estimating for commercial projects, homes and condos priced from $200,000 to over $5,000,000. Special projects manager of custom home builds and commercial finish projects. Was Operations manager for all of construction from purchase to completion. Handled bank draws and managed accounting to pay trades and vendors. Built two Town and Country log Homes. The first in S E Michigan. Both very custom.

Managed a high production semi custom site with an average of 43 homes under construction priced from $400,000 to $650,000.I was the Construction Manager responsible for 7 sites of homes and condos until the company restructured in September of 2004 so there would be one Project Manager for 1 to 3 sites based on the production of each site with field superintendents reporting to the Project Manager. I was the Senior Project Manager at our busiest site. We used Microsoft Project, Word, and Excel on a daily basis. I created weekly schedules via Excel with the selection information on them that is updated weekly and faxed to the trades. Also built light commercial office buildings up to 3 stories and did commercial remodeling on the properties we managed.
Feb 2001 to May 2004 Wexford Homes Saline, MI
Builder
Ran 3 communities, and built on client provided offsite lots. Built several small commercial buildings. Was responsible from lot clearing through 11-month warranty inspection. The homes were priced from $800,000 to $2,000,000 with an average of 17 homes under construction at one time. These homes were extremely custom averaging 72 change orders per home. Every blueprint was drawn per the customer's specifications. We used the Fast System for Purchasing, Estimating, and Accounting. We also used a Pro Forma computerized scheduling system that was updated weekly and faxed to the trades. Lastly, we had a work order system in Fast so we could create variance purchase orders, and track the subcontractors’ service, and warranty request.
Jan 1998 to Feb 2001 Sharp Residential Atlanta, GA

Built homes from lot clearing to 11-month warranty inspection. Responsibilities included site development issues, budgets, and warranty. This was a high production; semi custom golf course community with an average of 7 closings a month, and 50 to 60 homes under construction at one time.
Jan 1996 to Feb 1998 John Wieland Homes Atlanta, GA

Built custom homes in a fast paced selling atmosphere. Homes were priced in the high $400,000 range. John Wieland was voted National Builder of the Year in 1996. We used a centralized scheduling system out of the corporate office for all of our subcontractors, and our in house vendors. In 1997 I was recognized for producing 8 homes in a row that had no items found at the orientation inspection, which was conducted by an outside source with the client. I was also recognized that same year for having a 100% customer satisfaction survey done after closing. Started as a Finish Manager and was promoted twice in less than two years.
