KEY PROJECTS:

Incorporation of Relay in WiMAX: Implementation and Issues: Dr. J. Sharony, CEWIT, Advisor Fall ‘09

Researched the current work in 802.16j in relay mode standard and studied the network architecture, network entry and collision avoidance.

Co-Operative Networks: Recent Developments and Future Work: Prof. Xin Wang, Advisor Spring ‘09

Investigated cooperative networks and the progress made in this field over the years, the various road blocks in making it a success and proposed solutions along with its comparison with MIMO technology.

Implementation of TCP socket client / server programming: [C] Fall ‘09

The TCP socket client/server was implemented using I/O multiplexing, child processes and threads.

Study and Simulation of WiMAX Transceiver: [MATLAB] Senior Design Project ‘08

Studied the IEEE 802.16e standard and simulated it using MATLAB Simulink. Various Modulation and Encoding schemes were studied and WiMAX model was simulated. Comparative analysis with IEEE standard was done.

Design of a Futuristic Advertising Mode Using RTLS and WiFi: [JAVA] Fall ‘08

This project involved RTLS and Bluetooth for localized and effective advertising. Digital sign-age on city buses that change with the location and time of day. A user with a wireless device in its vicinity can request a coupon for an advertised offer by logging in and choosing from the real-time list of services generated.

Implementation of Convolutional Encoder and Viterbi Algorithm: [MATLAB] Spring ‘09

Implemented Convolutional Encoder and Viterbi algorithm along with the Source and Channel and simulated their performance.

Comparison of Performance of Different Source Coding Schemes Applied To Images: [MATLAB] Spring ‘09

Implemented of Shannon –Fano coding scheme and Hoffmann Coding scheme to a set of images and proved that the efficiency of Hoffman Coding scheme is better than Shannon-Fano Coding scheme.
