Responsible for the compliance of the maintenance operating system in support of the overall Vought operating system, which consisted of maintaining and updating the metrics to show schedule attainment, Preventive Maintenance completion, unavailable/available hours, machine downtime percentages, Osha recordable, Overtime percentages and totals. I also kept up with the training schedule and training requirements of my employees. Responsible for reaching individual goals to help meet facility and company goals. I had daily shop meetings to give work assignments and discuss special projects and shop schedule attainment, metrics, process improvement issues, safety issues, and facility issues. Responsible for machine inventory and part orders for machine repairs. Also performed the weekly and daily planning and scheduling for 1st and 2nd shift maintenance personnel. Helped maintain continuous process improvement procedures through Six Sigma Management practices. Attended various production meetings on their program schedules and worked closely with them on their production machining schedules, trending charts and graphs to schedule our preventative maintenance and planned repairs for machines.
Proficient in the scheduling and planning of Maintenance mechanics, machinist, electricians, electronic technicians, General Mechanics, and oilers, daily work scheduled of plan repair, trouble calls, and preventive maintenance work orders, relative to production schedules and by critical machine. Also created Preventive Maintenance procedures for the facilities, critical machines and new machines and negotiated with production on the release of machines for Preventive Maintenance procedures. Maintained and updated the metrics to show schedule attainment, Preventive Maintenance completions, unavailable/available hours, machine downtime percentages and totals. Completed work orders and purged backlogs of old and obsolete tickets. Interacted with vendors on facility and machine repairs and parts. Attended production meetings and filled in for Supervisors during their absences.
Broad experience in inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing drivmatic machines, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment and their peripherals. Solved assembly problems caused by tooling, cutter and machine malfunctions. Also dealt with assembly problems such as chips, FOD, fastener types etc. Also inspected, troubleshot, calibrated and repaired environmental control systems, electrical and electronic components, NC and CNC computer numerical control equipment, servo valves, servo drives, servo motors and the parts and machine programs to operate them efficiently.
PC literate, and knowledgeable in the installation, maintenance, programming, and set-up of Programmable Logic Controller PLC 2, PLC 5 and SLC 500 using RSLogix5, RSLogix500, DOS based ICOM and A.I. software.
