• Assure the quality of welds as per Client’ specification and procedure:

Have the equipments properly calibrated; double check the joint details on fabrication drawings,

make a plotting drawing to investigate the nature of the indications; and to carefully understand

the acceptance criteria so that every decision to make are firm.

• When doing Radiographic Inspection :

Make sure that the safety is properly administered according to Radiation Safety Standards;

Conduct physical checks on equipments before and after inspection; perform radiation

monitoring; and to install necessary safety warning devices so that unwanted exposure will be

prevented.

Inspections must be conducted during and after drilling and based on how intensive the drilling most especially if have encountered some problem (i.e. stack-up).

Having OCTG as my job is a very serious thing, it deals with great responsibility; so I must do it correctly and accordingly with respect to the drilling standards; because when the drilling tools fails while on the hole, it takes time to recover it and most especially it cost a lot of money.

I have to be firm on every result; give orientation to the Drilling Engineers so that they are aware of the flow of inspection so they have ideas on the causes of rejection and how they might prevent this.

Started as trainee, I was already been tasked to perform NDT inspection with the guidance of my supervisor, we worked as team doing all the NDT at a fabrication yard. The supervisor taught me everything about NDT and how to make the job in accordance to different standards.
