SAP Merger Project Manager

Sanofi-aventis group in Bangladesh had three legal entities of Fisons BD ltd., Aventis Ltd and Hoecst Marrion Russel (HMR). SAP was initially implemented for the three legal entities. I was responsible for merger of the three companies in SAP which went live this Feb 2008.

Banking SAP XI interface:

Connected with Standard Chartered Bank for automation to process payments and back office A/P process reconcilliation

WORK FLOW Applications:

Implemented and rolled organization wise workflow applications such eAED (Budget approval), ePR (Purchase Requisition ), eExp (Expenses Cliam), eTravel, eLeave connected to SAP via BAPI and IDOC.

Data Ware House (BI) :

Developed and rolled out DW solution based on Cognos to deliver Sales field force and organizational KPIs.

ETMS and Mobile Applications

• Developed web based electronic territory management system for remote uses for client management which were updated to Central Database for monitoring and reporting using VPN clients and IE .

• Developed and managed a project which allows mobile phones for the medical reps to place orders using form based GPRS application

MS SharePoint based Web portal Development

• Developed Portal for Sales Forces who would use portal to access Head Office Applications

Position Project Manager , National Consultant for SAP ERP Project

This was 600 user implementation while ensuring 20 consultants’ deliverables

and ensuring project is done in time. The project was full cycle implementation.

Project implemented FI, CO, HR and MM. Supervised Blueprint, Gap Analysis,

Project issue logs, day-to-day deliverables, ensuring key milestones are

achieved in time. Managed, helped and monitored internal team and external

teams. Reported to Deputy Governor, Executive Director (IT) who are project

Directors from functional and technical areas. HR Module implemented ESS and

MSS for HR modules for 5,000 employees including Training, Performance and

Recruitment process. This was a challenging project being a Central Bank.

Position CIS Manager (Head of IT)

Achievment Strategic IT Project :

Full impelmentation of new IT strategy and recommendations done by AIT (Asian Institute of Technology), Bangkok for the Centre Modernization. An study report on implementation of new platforms and Technologies to modernize process and systems including Finance, HR, Payroll & Purcahse Module alongg with replacemnet of legacy platforms of Research Database ., Internet and Intranet Development. Managed 20 direct and 26 indirect IT professionals of the centre.

Worked as Project Manager for MIS Implementaion, Research Application migration and Infrastructure development including few branch/station WAN connectivity using V-SAT and radio microwave systems.

MIS: The legacy Finance Application from COBOL & SQL DS from IBM Mainframe was migrated to RISC mid-range AS/400 and HR was migrated to SUN Solaris Oracle 7/9i with Developer 2000 front-end apps.

Research Database (DSS) : Migrated SQL Matlab Database, one of the largest DSS dataset from IBM mainframe 4361 to new SUN Solaris Enterprise 3000 environement for the DSS ( Demographical Surveilance System) Database which

Infrastructure Development: The Migration of large mainframe to Mid-range platform and implementation of the new RISC based IT infrastructure ,Campus Network implementaion with department LANs for 700 nodes, WAN using V-SAT and radio connectivity with VoIP solutions using Nortel equipment for Dhaka Head Office and remote Matlab branch/station offices using iPABX.
