• TSC’s Data Center consolidation project:

o Decommissioned 2 data centers within 4 months

o Built Xen vm’s to replace servers

o Evaluated and deployed Citrix Xen Enterprise in lieu of Xen (RedHat)

o Consolidated and migrated revision code repositories on several hosts to a central location

o Built syslog server based on rsyslog for all appliances and servers

• Provide rotating 24/7 oncall support for TSC’s web stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, Tomcat) in their virtualization environment (300 vm’s). Most vm’s are load balanced behind a Netscaler or Big-IP appliance.

• Implemented current provisioning infrastructure via Kickstart and Jumpstart Enterprise Toolkit to ensure the quality assurance of installations and configuration of servers.

• Administering, securing, tuning and monitoring Linux (RedHat Advanced Server 3 and RedHat Enterprise 4 and 5) and Solaris (8/9/10) servers

• Developed a new web infrastructure and development environment for corporate internet sites based on subversion, load balancers, jumpstart enterprise toolkit and rsync. Helped develop new change management procedures for developers.

• Built equivalent Linux and Solaris environment based on virtualization (i.e. Solaris zones and VMWare) on servers in the DR site in case of a disaster at the primary site allowing CPG to achieve its business continuity goals

• Implemented a proactive monitoring solution of hard drives by configuring smartmontools on all enterprise servers

• Serves as primary backup administrator—resolving failed backup jobs, overseeing an operation that backs up over 10 TB weekly
