Our Process
New Results PM Group provides proven techniques and methodologies
based on our many years of developing, implementing, and using project
management control systems in a wide variety of industries. When you work

Our methodology reflects the guidelines outlined in the ANSI/EIA Standard
for Earned Value Management Systems (ANSI/EIA-748-A, June 1998) as
well as the ISO International Standard 10006, Quality Management -
Guidelines to Quality in Project Management.
Our Strategy
Our approach to quality project management focuses on three project
management components: planning and scheduling, cost management, and
resource management.
Planning and Scheduling
Project planning provides the overall foundation for a project. Getting it right
is critical to the success of any project. We are experts at knowing what it
takes to put a practical plan and useful schedule in place.
We focus on:
Clearly defining the objectives. Clearly defined project objectives,
deliverables, and assumptions ensure you have a realistic project plan
and that all stakeholders, whether internal or external, understand the
expected results. The goal is to eliminate those unpleasant surprises
that can happen when project objectives are incomplete, vague, or
subject to question.
“Just right” schedules. Too much detail in a project schedule can
result in a system that becomes unmanageable or is not used. Too
little detail can mean a system that doesn’t give you the information
you need to know what’s really going on with a project. The wrong
interfaces can result in schedule and cost data that doesn’t fit
together; the end result is an incomplete picture of the project. We
find that “just right” level of detail you need for your specific project.
The goal is to ensure the system is used and that it provides the
relevant information needed to successfully manage your project.
Effective results. Regardless of the tools you use to manage your
project, the processes and procedures you use are crucial to ensuring
you have timely and accurate information when you need it. With
accurate information, you know where your project problems are and
can develop effective contingency plans. We can help you develop or
fine tune your process and procedures to ensure you are getting the
effective results you need from your system.
Cost Management
Cost management can incorporate a multitude of facets depending on the
type of project, industry requirements, and the ultimate end customer for the
project. In some instances, cost management can eclipse everything else
on a project.
The key is in knowing what is needed to manage a project effectively, how to
analyze and use the cost data provided, and how to report or provide the
data to the end customer. Our consultants are skilled in applying the right
cost management techniques to fit your project and environment. Our focus
is on helping you meet your project objectives on time and within budget.
Areas of expertise include:
Activity costing. We can help you define the project parameters you
need to ensure time and expenses are directly traceable to project
activities. That means you can identify cost drivers and pinpoint
where quality and efficiency can be improved to make a direct positive
impact on the bottom line.
Performance measurement. Adding performance measurement to
your management system creates a whole new dimension of project
cost analysis capabilities. It provides the means to determine how
much work is really getting done for the money you have spent and
how well the work being done matches your baseline plan. It also
highlights where things can be improved. We can help you put it to
use for a better view of where your project is headed and to increase
the quality of your baseline plans.
Our consultants are earned value management system (EVMS)
experts. They have extensive experience with satisfying government
agency reporting requirements. They are experienced with producing
the US Department of Defense contract performance reports (CPR),
contract funds status report (CFSR), and contractor cost data reports
(CCDR) as well as Department of Energy and NASA specific reports.
Cost and schedule integration. Getting your cost and schedule
data to work together in a meaningful way can be a real struggle for
any project. Adding teaming partners and suppliers to the mix can
complicate the process even more. Our consultants know how to get
the right processes and procedures in place to successfully integrate
the cost and schedule data. They are also experienced with
determining the best means to capture the right level of partner or
supplier data and how to incorporate their data into your project

Resource Management
Resource management is the third critical component to the success of any
project. Without the right resources in the right place to do the right things at
the right time, project objectives can become impossible to meet.

priorities, and identifying critical resources to ensure the right things
get done at the right time is our area of expertise. We can help you
analyze and determine where resources can be used more effectively.
Finding the right resources. W e can help you develop just-in-time
resource plans to identify what resources should be found, hired, and
allocated when and where. With a realistic plan in place, you can
accurately determine how resource requirements will impact project
costs and schedule timelines.

Company Background
New Results was founded in 2008 by project management veterans with
decades of experience successfully providing project management
assistance to virtually every major aerospace and defense contractor.
The New Results executive team are recognized industry leaders who drive
New Results strategy of providing client-focused solutions and consulting to
organizations nationwide. They bring decades of project management
experience in project management consulting.
New Results subject matter experts have helped to develop scalable and
repeatable project control methodologies based on decades of experience in
earned value management systems (EVMS) and Integrated Master
Plan/Integrated Master Schedule (IMP/IMS). The New Results team is
experienced with producing meeting requirements for the US Department of
Defense (DOD), Department of Energy (DOE), NASA, and other federal
agencies.
