Responsible for the structural/civil engineering design of typical commercial buildings in Southern California. Coordinated with clients, mechanical, electrical and architects on both technical and commercial issues. Projects ranged from custom wood homes, masonry machine shops, concrete tilt-up office buildings, to steel moment-resisting multi-story community centers. Structurally designed various underground structures at airport runways, automobile traffic locations, walkways and gardens. Performed assorted testing for impact, high temperatures and automobile loads on commercial products. Using finite element analysis programs, hand calculations and molding experience, products were created using high density polyurethane plastic, structural foam, fiberglass reinforced concrete structures, steel reinforced concrete shells and steel shapes.
