Network admin for Schering Plough in Madison & Kenilworth, NJ - 7/2006 to 3/2008
Responsible for over 80,000 user accounts worldwide. Duties included resolving Ariba, Remedy, and Request Center tickets, using VMware, NetIQ Directory and Resource Administrator and Enterprise Administrator to add/delete users to/from groups, and monitor server and user activity and status. Proficient with NetWare Administrator for managing users with Novell accounts.
In Madison, generated spreadsheets for the processing of account removals and reactivations, Global Address List updates, and granting additional network privileges.
In Kenilworth, my responsibilities increased to include monitoring and resolving failed backup servers, training new employees, resolving Citrix server access issues, and investigating any failed production servers in the data center.
Various other projects for TransNet have included the ability to work unsupervised in the New Jersey school districts performing the following:
*Altiris implementation in the Newark public school system. Configured switches and servers as per documentation, installed and verified cabling, and imaged all networked computers. Received praise from the technology director for my dedication to the project.
*Server builds and NetWare hardware migration at Lower Camden County schools. Migrated NetWare from their unstable server to new hardware. Resolved printing and network problems.
*Backup and network maintenance at Bernards schools. Coordinated with the district administrator to resolve backup and networking issues.
*Network maintenance at Berkeley Heights schools. Worked with the network administrator to resolve server issues until the network could be upgraded.
*ZENworks implementation and backup maintenance at New Brunswick public schools.
Remote controlled into all fourteen school servers daily to verify proper network operation and resolve any issues. Configured ZENworks to perform workstation import, remote control, and imaging. Created documentation and trained their staff.
