Commercial Management and Account Analysis (Cash Management)

The purpose of Cash Management’s Account Analysis system (CMAA) is to track information for a customer, as well as the multiple corresponding accounts that a customer may have. The system allows customers to be charged on both a daily and monthly basis. Charges may be entered manually or downloaded from a text file. The system also generates a full set of predefined reports.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for interpreting, developing and implementing system enhancement to support financial flows, business requirements and new business strategic implementation.

Customer Insurance Tracking System

The application helps the field agents of the company to enter prospective customers’ data. The application also calculates the amount of premium required, cash value and benefit amount for the years in consideration. The Online application has different modules and I was involved in testing the Long Term Cares. In this system, registered members with MetLife can get details of their LTC insurance, change the term of their coverage and also use the premium calculator to determine the new premium.

Responsibilities:

As an analyst, was involved in gathering business requirement, studying the application and collecting the information from developers and writing the test plans.

As a QA Tester responsible for the creation and execution of manual/automated test scripts WinRunner.

Reviewed test assignments, developed test plans and scripts, and conducted tests as assigned.

Involved in writing of Use Cases, UAT Plans and UAT test cases from Business Requirements

QA Tester, MILLTHREE SOLUTIONS (INDIA) Pvt. Ltd, India (Nov ’03 – Aug ‘04)

Project 1: Financial Accounting System

This software is designed for accounts department to monitor the cash flow among various sections in the division. This software deals with cash payments and bank payments. This software is used for various calculations like interest for daily payment, monthly payments and yearly payments of every customer who is having bank account.

Responsibilities:

Involved in designing GUI application to view all information.

Developed three modules - Customer Addition, Customer Maintenance, and Order Processing. The Customer Addition module is used for adding new customers and editing the existing customer's history. The Customer Maintenance module is used for maintaining the history of customers. The Order Processing module is used for taking the orders from the customers and checking their payments.

Created Monthly cash Report, Month End & year-end cash Report, Variation Report.

Wrote Handful of SQL and PL/SQL code.

Developing test plans and performed the testing of the various customer fields and tested the message behavior functionality.

Responsible for conducting the manual testing of a Visual Basic GUI front-end of accounts department application.

Involved in evaluating a project's contents, provided testing effort estimate, and timely feedback on progress towards completing project on time.

Project 2: Cost Analysis System

A Cost Analysis System was designed and developed for Diva Builders to automate Quantity Estimation, Cost Estimation, and Accounts, Planning & Control division. The availability of resources during the year and their prices at various locations play a major role in estimating the cost of the structure. Present and past year’s data was taken into account while estimating the cost and quantity. Various statistical reports like Quantity Estimation Report, Cost Estimation Report, Accounts Estimation Report and Planning Report were generated periodically. These reports were intended to give clear picture of each and every project’s status to the management. Connection between Oracle and Visual Basic is established using Open Database Connectivity.

Environment: WinRunner 5.0, TestDirector 5.0, Visual Basic 5.0, Oracle 7.i and Crystal Reports, Windows NT.

Responsibilities:
