PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
ERIDE INC., San Francisco, California (www.eride.com)
Firmware/Software Engineer, April 2009 - Present
• Developed new features in the software and the firmware of Eride's GPS chips, including GPS time-synchronized positioning, resource management of state machines, tracking stability enhancement, and server aiding functionality.
• Participated in the customer support for the customers in Japan by troubleshooting the malfunction of Eride’s GPS chips, ultimately providing bug-fixed software and bug-analysis report in Japanese.
• Converted the firmware from CoolRisc assembly to C language for the development of Eride’s next generation chip.
FURUNO ELECTRIC, Nishinomiya, Japan (www.furuno.com)
R&D Software Engineer, January 2006 – March 2009
• Developed a phase-locked loop improving the tracking sensitivity of an indoor GPS receiver by 6 dB
• In partnership with Eride, Inc., transformed a GPS receiver into an accurate time device. Focused on the implementation of SBAS satellite functionality enhancing the timing accuracy. Responsible for the communication between Furuno and Eride by leading the conference calls between the two companies and by spending 6 months at Eride's office in San Francisco working directly with Eride’s engineers.
• Participated in the customer support by solving software issues in Furuno’s GPS modules.
R&D Trainee Engineer, February 2005 – August 2005
• Simulated in Matlab the jamming effects on a GPS signal, and characterized the optimal parameters of a Delay-Locked Loop in a standard GPS receiver for jamming protection.
FRENCH PETROLEUM INSTITUTE (IFP), Rueil-Malmaison, France (www.ifpenergiesnouvelles.com)
R&D Trainee Engineer, July 2004 – September 2004
• Developed a discriminator of water/oil/gas composition using Matlab and Pascal language.
