Hardware Test Engineer, Innovative Electronics Design, Louisville, KY July 2011 to Present

§ Responsible for development and implementation of test procedures that ensure quality in accordance with ISO guidelines.

§ Assist in meeting daily manufacturing and RA needs by performing QA testing on audio products. This includes diagnosing problems that require a higher level understanding of the circuits on many of the newer digital and/or surface mount assemblies.

§ Review "in process failure" for root cause and determine how product failure was missed during first pass. Provide results to engineering with proposed possible QA test procedures.

§ Ability to take informational data and process it into proposed test procedures, engineering enhancements, manufacturing enhancements, preventative maintenance.

§ Resolve problems with existing products and extend its capabilities, Test prototype and first article products.

§ Participate in writing product validation test plans, test specifications for production and writing test code as necessary along with debugging the code on the target which requires using emulators, simulators, etc.

§ Provide Customer Service and Systems support as needed.

§ Maintain QA workstations used to load EPROMs and schedule periodic maintenance work in advance, and identify preventative maintenance opportunities in advance of issues.

§ Provide budgets and requisitions for material needed to maintain QA workstations.

Advisor: Dr. Nabi Sertac Artan

§ Part of a project team working in collaboration with NYU School of medicine on the ‘Medical Device Implant’ project.

§ Responsibilities included and not limited to Interfacing the MUC(Master Device) to a Battery Monitor Circuit(Slave Device)in I2C(Inter Integrated Circuit) Mode so as to introduce communication using Embedded C as the primary language.

§ Worked on data acquisition aspect and printing the desired results using Indigo Terminal Emulator via the UART.

§ Coded to find highest and average of the continuous stream of input signals from the potentiometer.

§ The project was based on 8051 Microcontroller and Silicon Labs IDE was used for simulation and development purposes.

Graduate Teaching Assistant, Polytechnic Institute of NYU September 2010 to May 2011

§ Teaching assistant for the course ‘Signals and Systems’ for Dr. Matthew Campisi.

§ Responsible for designing MATLAB based lab sessions, lab manuals and class assignments. Involved in guiding students on day to day basis in regards to programming assignments and helping students to learn MATLAB in a simplified manner.

VLSI Lab Monitor, Polytechnic Institute of NYU September 2009 to August 2010

§ Simulated and designed Embedded C programs and assisted Senior Engineers in day to day processes.

PROJECTS:

§ Implementation of PQHA using HFSS February 2011-May 2011

Designed, modeled and simulated PQHA (Printed Quadrifilar Helix Antenna) by making use of HFSS for Satellite communication through GPS.

§ LZ77 Compression in Microcontrollers November 2010 - December 2010 Implemented LZ77 Compression which is the best form of lossless compression in a microcontroller device where we had a continuous stream of data from ADC. The major part of coding was done in C++ which was then converted into Embedded C.

§ Improving NFA-based Signature Matching using Ordered Binary Decision Diagrams December 2010

Implemented NFA-OBDD which improves time and space efficiency of NFA which is a major limitation in signature matching. It was done by simulating NFA and NFA-OBDD considering a set of inputs and the results thus obtained were then compared in terms of time and space efficiency using C++.

§ Performance of Simulink based SS-OFDM model for Broadband Wireless Access Network December2010

Simulated SS-OFDM model with BPSK, QPSK, different M-PSK and M-QAM modulation techniques to prove that M-QAM modulation is better for SS-OFDM since it gives remarkable improvement in BER as compared to M-PSK.

§ Track Recorder and Re-tracer Robot (Senior year Project) May 2009

Designed and implemented a self learned robot which will learn motion commands and will also sense the environment so as to react accordingly. Project was entirely designed in 80C51.

§ Automatic Street Lights (Sophomore year Project) May 2007
