EXPERIENCE

Company: Coatings Research Institute, Eastern Michigan University (September 2008 to present)

• Position Involved Research and Development of various kinds of coatings including High solid, water-borne, UV cured, air dry, Sol-Gel and Force cured coatings and performing their characterization.

o Responsible for development of resins for wide range of coatings and their characterization using FT-IR, DSC, NMR, UV-Vis., DMA, Viscometers, Thermo-Gravimetric analysis and Gas Chromatography, Q-UV, Particle, weathering, B-117 and other failure analysis.

o Responsible for formulation of coatings for various applications and their characterization using Thermo-Gravimetric analysis, Dynamic Mechanical Analysis, Scanning Electron Microscope, DSC, ATR and Atomic Force Microscope

o Responsible for development of various anionic and cationic UV cured resins including urethane acrylate and silane functional oligomers for different applications, formulation, characterization of curing behavior of such coatings and characterization of cured films.

Company: Admark Polycoats Ltd. (March 08 to August 08)

• Position involved Research and Development of various low temperature curatives with a wide range of viscosities for epoxy based coatings, handling production and proposing new potential projects to reduce drying time as well as cost.

o Responsible for development of different kind of special low temperature epoxy hardeners according to requirements of customers.

o Responsible for proposing new ideas according to company requirements and handling the projects as a chemist.

o Responsible for handling production and achieve targets of production in a given time limit.
