PROJECTS:

University of Michigan – Design and Manufacturing Experience (September 2005-Present)

-Designed and manufactured a spinal surgery table attachment for Dr. Frank La Marca, Neurosurgeon at the University of Michigan Health System. The device will be used to make minimally invasive scoliosis correcting surgery easier for surgeons to perform.

-Designed lower leg prosthesis for trans-tibial amputees to increase ankle mobility.

LEADERSHIP:

Represent the mechanical engineering department within the College of Engineering by expressing various student concerns to the faculty.

Undergraduate Student Advisory Board (January 2006 – Present)

Member-One of two selected mechanical engineering students who advise the Associate Dean of Undergraduate Education of the College of Engineering about relevant issues that currently impact mechanical engineering students.

Michigan Adaptive Sports (April 2007 – Present)

Volunteer Instructor – Teach physically handicapped adults and children how to ski or snowboard using adapted mono-ski’s.
