Philips Electronics (Singapore) Pte Ltd (August 2007 to present)

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

• Independently managed sets of TV product design and development (2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 range) produced to the market at Europe, Asia Pacific, China and Latin America

• Recently developed 2k11 Design Line TV set from concept study to factory production support (http://www.designline.philips.com/)

• Assigned as the Material & Finishing specialist to validate glass concept design, planning, and evaluation

• Created cost effective internal mechanical component concept design to standardize on the whole same 2k10 range of TV products

• Developed detailed design on plastic, metal, surface design, glass, fabric and stand components

• Practiced Design for Six Sigma and Detailed Mechanical Tolerance Stackup and Analysis on product design and development to ensure meeting the Critical to Quality requirements

• Responsible as the only mechanical support at 4 different suppliers and 3 production factory sites for more than 1 months to ensure every scheduled product release in 2009, 2010 and 2011

• Coordinated a 6-member team to motivate individuals and strengthen the team spirit by organizing monthly events for 70 mechanical team members

• Worked in a team of 4 to construct an internal mechanical website which conveniently provides the team with technical information

• Developed and presented new health device and headphone design in Philips CDC 2007 and 2010

• Designed an intelligent acupressure device for stress relief that provides the performance improvement after usage

15th Executive Committee – Coordinator of Charismatic Prayer Group (2005 to 2006)

• Created a year events’ plan for over 400 Catholic members and led 12 people to manage the events

• Coordinated the publicity for Ablaze rally to reach out to every young people in 30 Catholic Churches in Singapore and attended by over 300 people

• Organized a retreat for 80 participants and raised $3000 to cover costs of the place and equipments

Subcommittee – Publication and Publicity ministry (2003 to 2006)

• Prepared weekly newsletter and event’s banner

• Worked with other 5 volunteers in providing and publishing articles for Catholic members
